Scary monster mask of Frankenstien
ICED EARTH "FRAKENSTIEN"
To reanimate lifeless tissues
The Devil's work, the doctors plan
A man of wealth and a genius mind
A slave to passion and his morbid side
Robbing graves of the newly dead
Erratic tendencies, a troubled mind
I will create in my own image
If God can then why can't I?
No thought of the consequences
I've got to know the meaning of life
Lightning strikes, it's the witching hour
The monstrosity comes alive
A victim of man's vanity
Born in delirium, a deranged child
He turns his back on his own creation
Chaos ensues, the innocent die
Who's the monster?
Who's the victim?
Crucify!!! Crucify!!!
A mastermind in the old watchtower
Prying eyes must never find.
Playing God in the final hour
Insanity, such a fine line
Overwhelmed by the mourning process
And the loss of his dearly loved
The Doctor's work is now obsession
What is life? What's beyond?
He wants to know what it's like to be God
Creating life with his own hands
This song portrays the evil and madness of the creator of the moster. The creator questions "why can't I create life?" in the way of being the god over his new race. This song had religion endebbed in the lyrics because it mentions God a few times and it says "Crucify!" twice. This song gives a view of the scientists feelings on how he wants to know what God feels like. It also, gives on what the creator does when his monster come to life, like in the book and song he runs away. I found this song very strange and wierd.
LITERATURE
The Strange Case Of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde
The strange case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde incorporates two different personalities into one being. Mr. Hyde is the evil part of Dr. Jekyll; and Dr. Jekyll tries to contain and control his evil side. The characters are constantly seeking knowledge through curiosity and science; which often leads them to supernatural activities. Strangely enough, Stevenson got the idea of the book from a nightmare; just like Mary Shelley did for Frankenstein. This book was written in the Romantic time period and it's a gothic mystery style. The purpose of the book is to represent the good and evil in mankind through the symbolic appearance of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.
SIMILARITIES PARAGRAPH
In the Music, Literature, and Art we chose to do for our project show some distinct similarities. Other than the obvious fact that they all HAVE a creature/monster in it, one similarity is that all three have the IMAGERY of a monster in the same sort of way. The art and music and literature all talk about or depict a monster that was created. For example inthe music it describes the monster as a threat, creepy and bad for humans. The art depicts the same creepy looking monster along with the literature it deeply describes a creaure that is dark and scary. Also, other than describing the monsters they give good vizualization to what the monster exactly looks like. They all have scary eyes, and ugly scars, and lppk green or yellow skinned. Also, all three parts contribute to the theme of horror and gothicism and that is how the M usic, Literature, and Art are similar
